Ullapool High School is delighted to announce that our hard work over the 18 months has been rewarded by our attaining Fairtrade School Status. In order to gain this award the pupils in the school have had to achieve 5 goals:
Past activities included a Coffee Morning, Soup and Sandwiches, making promotional bookmarks, producing a radio broadcast and devising a board game. Along with this the topic of Fair Trade has been used in a variety of classes as means of enhancing learning through the use of real life materials - many thanks to the staff who have helped with this. The current Steering Group are continuing to work on promoting Fairtrade and are busy on a letter writing campaign for Sports Clubs to promote Fairtrade during Fairtrade Fortnight, organising a Fairtrade Ready Steady Cook and a Coffee Morning. I'd personally like to thank the members of Ullapool Fairtrade group for their support over this time and look forward to our continuing partnership. Ruth Clark | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||
